About This Major
A fellowship training program that prepares physicians to provide care for the victims of natural and man-made disasters with specific consideration given to timeliness and availability of resources. Includes instruction in emergency medicine and its associated acute care specialties, public health, emergency management, humanitarian services, and prehospital emergency medical services (EMS). Requires prior completion of a residency program in emergency medicine. This CIP code is not valid for IPEDS reporting.
