About This Major
A residency training program that prepares dentists in the diagnosis, and surgical and related treatment, of diseases, injuries, and defects involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the head, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws, and neck. Includes treatment of problem wisdom teeth, facial pain, misaligned jaws, and reconstructive and dental implant surgery. This CIP code is not valid for IPEDS reporting.
